Paul founded a domiciliary optical practice based in the southeast of England in 1995, which grew into a nationwide chain of franchised domiciliary practices. As CEO, Paul used his professional and personal skills to lead a customer focused and innovative business. Paul sold and exited the optometry business in 2021 and has become more engaged with optical bodies. Paul is co-chair of the Domiciliary Eye Care Committee, a newly elected board member of the Association of Optometrists, where he also serves on their council as their domiciliary optometrist. In 2023, Paul founded Mottainai Solutions, where he serves as a director and executive leadership advisor. Paul also has roles as non-executive director and Clinical advisor in two MedTech startups, providing strategic direction and governance and clinical advice. Outside of optometry and consulting, Paul runs a buy-to-let portfolio and enjoys staying active by cycling and umpiring field hockey.
